The NSPA is currently recruiting for a Membership and Communications officer, based at Samaritans’ offices in Ewell, Surrey on a 1-year fixed-term contract.
The National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA) is a coalition of public, private and voluntary organisations in England whose mission is to get all parts of society working together to take action to reduce suicide and improve the support for those bereaved by suicide. The Membership and Communications Officer is a new post which will be crucial to helping the NSPA achieve its goals. The post will lead on the development of its communications, including its website, as well as being the first point of contact for members and ensuring excellent communications for and with members. It has responsibility for leading membership development, ensuring that the NSPA attracts new members and finds new and innovative ways for them to work together.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, who enjoys a busy and varied role and has the ability to juggle competing priorities. Good interpersonal skills will be important, as well as a track record in developing and delivering effective communications, preferably in a membership environment.
