The Anthony Seddon Fund

We are a peer-support mental health charity, providing support to people in our community who are living with mental health issues. We provide a range of activities including arts & crafts, music sessions, Reiki, Tai Chi and meditation as well as targeted support groups such as Hearing Voices, Suicide Bereaved Support and Who Cares? for family & friends of a loved one with mental health issues.

How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

We offer a drop-in support service 5 days per week & operate an open door policy. The majority of staff & volunteers have lived experience and have undergone Suicide Prevention training. We work closely with our local mental health services both primary & secondary care and have a mental health worker from the Liaison team based in our centre twice a week. We run a Suicide Bereaved Support group and the facilitators have  both Suicide Prevention and PABBS training.
