How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?
This campaign started life as an NHS England-funded pilot and is now continuing via other funding streams. It is being led by the charities Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind (CPSL Mind) and Lifecraft, supported by local NHS and Public Health teams.
It involves general awareness raising about suicide, specialist training for non-mental health professionals working / volunteering within our communities and a public campaign to encourage sign up to the STOP Suicide Pledge for organisations and individuals.

What are your current priorities?
Public Awareness Campaign
- Re-launch the STOP Suicide campaign to raise awareness across the region.
GP Training
- Design GP Suicide Prevention training for our region.
Suicide Bereavement Support
- Get our Suicide Bereavement service up and running.
Use our Stress LESS campaign to raise awareness of mental health for 12-18 year olds – early prevention.

What challenges are you currently facing?
Seeking organisational support for a 'taboo' subject. Extending our reach as far as possible across our region to raise awareness.
