How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

We provide immediate access to support for those experiencing mental health distress. Islanders aged 18 and over can drop in without needing a referral or having made a prior appointment between the hours of 10am and 10pm. Much of the work we do is preventative however we also support people in crisis. We work collaboratively with the Government of Jersey and partner agencies.

What are your current priorities?

Our current priorities align with the mental health strategy for Jersey and focus on improving access, providing greater choice and flexibility within a recovery focused and community facing model. We also aim to champion the value of lived experience and the Listening Lounge is co-delivered by experts by experience and experts by profession.
