Leicestershire County Council

Leicestershire County Council are a local authority serving the residents of Leicestershire.

How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

We, alongside partners, lead the ‘Start A Conversation – Suicide is Preventable’ campaign to build a community that is committed to the mental health and well-being of its residents and provide a non-judging environment where care and support is available to those in distress or those bereaved or affected by suicide.

Through raised awareness and open and honest conversations about suicide, we believe that every person has the potential to make a difference and save a life.
