Intequal

The IT Skills Management Company, trading as Intequal have a wealth of experience in training and apprenticeships spanning over many years. We help employers to participate in, and benefit from the Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. We have helped shape apprenticeships with both content, and delivery, and offer full consultation on all aspects of apprenticeship recruitment and participation. Offering seven different apprenticeship programmes, Intequal specialise in IT and digital apprenticeships. We carefully select our trainers, with recognised industry qualifications, to ensure our apprentices have the best learning experience possible. We deliver our apprenticeships using the latest technology, allowing us to create virtual learning classrooms. By doing so, our apprentices can learn and implement work simultaneously in the workplace.

The IMH works with young people to share knowledge and generate ideas, recognising user experience as essential to shape, challenge and champion the work that they do.   It also partners the Centre for Human Brain Health also based at the University, aimed at improving diagnosis and interventions using the state-of-the-art technology.
The strength of the IMH lies in its close collaboration with other academics and researchers, health partners and professionals, and charities and service providers.  It is through this shared knowledge and understanding that it aims to make a lasting impact to improve the care and outcomes for young people suffering from problems in their mental health.

How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

We have a safeguarding team to protect learners experiencing difficulties with their mental health and other matters. Cases like this can include learners being suicidal. We have a strict reporting process and risk assessment system in place to monitor risk levels and help learners.

What are your current priorities?

Our priorities are keeping learners safe, supporting them throughout their apprenticeship, and ensuring we provide the resources available to help those who need it. Resources are provided and tailored to all safeguarding cases and the needs of that person.

What challenges are you currently facing?

A challenge faced recently is the difficulty making cross country reports to the emergency services.  We have also noticed an increase in the number of safeguarding cases, and the complexity/severity of cases. Due to this we are looking to expand the resources available to the team.
