Established for more than 10 years, Evoke Care caters for vulnerable young people aged from seven to 18 years with the belief that every child really does matter.
We promote a secure and loving environment in all our children’s homes whether a residential, semi-independent care home or residential assessment centre.

Every young person placed with Evoke Care is provided with an individual, tailored care package, with their own keyworkers to meet their needs. Young people also have a significant influence on their care plan and determining its priorities.
The team is highly qualified to manage different behaviours including autism attachment disorders, autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders offensive behaviour, anger-management, ADHD, and self-harm.
The Evoke Care team works closely with each young person to ensure optimal progress that leads to a positive and lasting outcome. We also provide therapy by a trusted, external resource and this is part of each young person’s care package.

How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

We implement a risk of suicide identification strategy in the children's care plan, making alterations to their environments and using support therapy to look at all related issues.

Training our workforce on a continuous basis and adopting effective methods of development to enhance positive progression.

We are committed to teaching and helping each other to recognise the signs and provide support to everyone, regardless of background or experience. Learning skills to keep someone alive.

What are your current priorities?

Our current priorities are to ensure that the children are stabilized,  whilst developing a safe space for children and staff to work together.

We prioritise building a systematic and coherent system to enable better prevention strategies.

Developing professional training to ensure the system is working well and progressively adhering to the needs of the children in the home.

What challenges are you currently facing?

The current challenges we are facing is the global pandemic. As a result of the restrictions, suicide is a major area of concern. There have been limitations to support that can be given due to temporary closures, of external support such as GPs office and the community.
