Clifton Suicide Prevention Team is a valued local suicide prevention service. We are a team of volunteers formed in August 2018 to reduce suicides in the Bristol area by patrolling the Clifton area to identify, listen to and care for those in crisis.
We also work alongside local services and signpost people to where they can access support.

How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?
We patrol Clifton on foot and by car to locate people at risk and then use our skills in crisis intervention to offer supportive listening to start a dialogue and to encourage more hopeful solutions than suicide.
We work alongside local services and signpost people to where they can access support.
We do not currently work with families that have been affected by suicide but would like to in the future.
What are your current priorities?
Our priorities are to prevent people from ending their lives by suicide in Clifton.
What challenges are you currently facing?
We are currently finding raising finances challenging. With the ongoing costs of insurance, phone bills and uniforms our work would be easier if we had more funding.
