BDLD (Big Dog Little Dog) is a small social enterprise focussed on destigmatising mental health, particularly in the workplace. We achieve this through the delivery of accredited and bespoke training courses (including MHFA) and organisation consultancy services.
We are particularly focussed on suicide prevention and have developed a unique, one-day, suicide intervention programme called STEPS. We are currently working with relevant partner organisations to accredit this training and to be able to offer it in a variety of formats (including e-learning) and tailored to priority cohorts.

How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?
By developing and delivering innovative suicide intervention training modules.
We are also working on gaining funding to ensure that people can access the training at zero personal cost.
As part of the training suite, we are developing both an accredited intervention course, plus a lower-level course aimed at helping people to challenge their own negative thoughts - this could be a new, and highly effective intervention, aimed at supporting yourself through suicide, rather than supporting others.
