Guidance for financial contributions to the NSPA
Levels of contribution
Here are suggested levels of contribution based on the annual income of your organisation:
Annual Income | Suggested contribution |
Up to £250k | £250 |
Up to £1 million | £500 |
Up to £3 million | £1K |
Up to £5 million | £1.5K |
Up to £10 million | £2K |
Up to £15 million | £2.5K |
Up to £20 million | £3K |
Up to £25 million | £3.5K |
Up to £30 million | £4K |
Up to £50 million | £4.5K |
Over £50 million | £5K |
This provides no more than a guide for organisations as to an appropriate level of contribution and ultimately it is at a member organisation’s discretion as to its level of contribution. Please remember that any donation will make a difference to us; if all 200 of our organisational members gave us just £100 we would have £20,000 to support our work.
How to make a payment
NSPA funds are held in trust by Samaritans, as the current host organisation and provider of the NSPA’s Secretariat. All members’ contributions are held in a restricted fund used only to fund NSPA projects and activities
Therefore your voluntary contribution should be paid directly to Samaritans. If you require an invoice in order to make a contribution, please contact Penny Fosten on p.fosten@nspa.org.uk to make arrangements.
Bank transfers:
Account name: Samaritans
Account number: 01446634
Sort code: 30-97-73
Please quote ‘NSPA Member Contribution’ as your payment reference
Online:
Small donations can be made via the NSPA Virgin Money Giving account – online here.
Cheques:
Please make cheques payable to Samaritans and ensure that you write ‘For NSPA work’ on the back of the cheque or in the letter, and then send it to:

In-kind support
If you aren’t able to make a financial contribution this year, we would also appreciate offers of in-kind support, including meeting spaces and staff time, particularly in areas like communications, design, copy-writing, web design and social media.
Please email Penny Fosten on p.fosten@nspa.org.uk with any offers of in-kind support.
