How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

The organisation has been providing support to individuals affected by bereavement by suicide for 18 months. We run support groups and provide fully funded counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy.

In October 2018 we launched ‘The John Paul Project’, supporting veterans with emotional and psychological health problems, which consists of talking therapy support and peer mentoring.

What challenges are you currently facing?

As a charity a key issue is resources, many of our projects are grant dependent however we do work in a social enterprise model for our care provision and re-invest monies to our charitable activities.
