Survivors of Suicide (SOS) Support Groups

SOS Support Groups, run by Rethink Mental Illness, offer support for those experiencing suicidal thoughts or have recently attempted suicide. Support is also available to families and carers of someone that is going through a suicidal crisis or have been bereaved by suicide.

Young Minds

The YoungMinds Parents’ Helpline offers free, confidential online and telephone support, including information and advice, to any adult worried about the emotional problems, behaviour or mental health of a child or young person up to the age of 25.

  • YoungMinds Parents’ Helpline open Monday to Friday 9.30am-4pm on (free for mobiles and landlines).

Child Bereavement UK

Support Helpline & Email

Child Bereavement UK support families and educate professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.

Their helpline provides confidential support, information and guidance to families and professionals. Professionally trained bereavement support workers are available to take calls 9am – 5pm Monday-Friday.

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide
